At LEO Clinic, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of students in social work, counseling, and administration. That's why we offer undergraduate and graduate internships to eligible students throughout Connecticut.

Our interns come from a wide range of schools and institutions, and acceptance is determined by the availability of supervision in the student's chosen field, past experience, and learning requirements. Internship applications are accepted from January 1 to June 1 for September to May internships, with a limited number of summer block placements available.

We offer extensive training and supervision to all of our interns, including individual or group supervision by an MSW, LCSW, MA, or other clinically licenced professional, or a professional staff member with a comparable degree. Graduate interns also have access to a wide range of training options provided by government agencies, with taped sessions used in supervision for self-reflection and training.

To be eligible for our internship programme, students must be matriculated in a college programme for undergraduate internships or in their first or second year of a matriculated MSW, MA/MS, or MFT programme for graduate internships. They must also have experience working with children, adults, and/or families (paid or volunteer) and undergo an interview with a recommendation from their school program.

At LEO Clinic, we are committed to providing quality internship opportunities to a variety of students throughout Connecticut, including those from the University of Saint Joseph, University of Connecticut, Springfield College, Central Connecticut State University, Fordham University, Yale University, and many more.

If you are interested in pursuing an internship at LEO Clinic, please contact us to learn more about our program and to apply. We look forward to supporting and growing you in your chosen field.
